Absolutely phenominal!! I think a walk round that place would reduce me to tears!

Fantastic shots. Things like the Holden are works of art with that 'patina'. Wierd how the chrome on most of the stuff looks fairly rust free.

Posted

Awesome. That Escort van needs to be shipped over here STAT, it would make a fortune even in that condition.

Amazing! Did they have much in the way of modern fodder or is just a classic scrapyard?

Notes on comments: we have short winters..and snow only in the higher altitudes..hence why cars survive..unless their on the coast of course..unfortunately we didnt get a shot of the 38 Chev sedan..only recently out of a shed...ropey but still running...you can buy a lot out of here...but they tend to be expensive..id be tempted by the purple Austin 1300..it was a minty..but have to resist dammit..but the place is cool due to the international variety..Yanks ,Brits ,Antipodeans and Euro's... and Milford..theyre beginning a slightly more modern collection..theyd cleared lotsa of the carcasses that had been stripped...but they still leave the interesting shit there for the museum sake..interesting enough..the roads in the area are very prone to black ice..hence lotsa pranged stuff..

Wonderful stuff, great pic's too. Just look at what's in the background, all the Mitsubishis behind the fintail Benz for example.

i WANT that fiat 850, totally non existent here for about 20 years....

Mucho coolio pictures there!

Next time you visit, if it's still there, could you poss take front & rear shots of this Visa, a rear shot if nothing else, as it looks like a hens teeth MkI version? :D

Ok Regie Ill do that..100% chance it will still be there..i thought there woz sumthing unusual about it..same kinda hen here..i could probably squash it down along with the Fiat..stick it all in the back of the Escort van..ship it over n make a killing..methinksnot!

Brilliant photos - I've never seen moss like that before - like something out of a vintage sci-fi flick

Superb. Can you post some of that moss to Amsterdam? I think it would look great on my car.
