Well the engine in the P100 is FUBAR'd so I need to replace either the engine or buy a new vehicle, preferably diesel or LPG, a van or pick up would be nice or an estate.

I have done the usual Ebay search and have a couple of possibilities, forgot to say budget is small so it will definitely have to be £500 or less. As it will just be a working vehicle, general condition is irrelevant, scabby is good.

I might have an Escort Estate coming up, petrol, but one owner from new and quite tidy. Will have more details tomorrow, would be around £450 with 12 months test.

In typical AS style I can only offer something completely different to your request. Cavalier automatic with tax and test any good? Failing that my lad might be selling his 106 (petrol) if any use?

Cheers for the offers, the Escort may be an option as may the 106, least it would be a low cost way of earning no money....I could make the P100 take any engine, indeed I have several pinto's and V6's I could use, but I need a work horse now as I am loosing all sorts of work without the carrying ability of the P100, and as much as I love the Rover it is no use as Shit hauler, also I can't afford to run a petrol P100 as they get truly shit economy, would be cheaper running the Shogun V6...and that left me penniless last winter

 

I have been looking at Minibuses, Transits, Skoda cube vans the lot, but I just can't get anything at the right price and place. Just been to look at a Transit camper, figuring strip it out, use it, reassemble then sell once the p100 is back on the road.....over priced piece of shit it was

 

also found an engine for the truck...in Rotherham, great just £150...I thought I'll get my friend to collect it and bring it up when he next in the area, not up again until next year....oh yes I know I'll hire a van....add the fuel cost etc....so that's a £300 + engine then...bugger. I'll get there in the end though
