My mum works at a library and got me this book from a stock clearance. Unfortunately I already have one. Its a Hardback with a few library marks - £5 posted to an autoshitist. These are great quick reference books

Ooh! This was in my library at school some 20 years ago. Was probably the olny book I got out of the library that was irrelevant to the subjects i was being taught. I then bought 'A to Z of Cars of the 1970s' probably from WH Smiths.

 

An excellent reference book.

Superb book. I spent many of my teenage hours reading that thing - perhaps I should have taken more interest in girls, but I learnt a lot!

This was first published over a year or so in C&S, followed by the 1970s one (then very recent). It was a time when I devoured everything in car magazines and it certainly taught me a lot. Later on there was a 1980s A-Z too. In hindsight there are a few errors, but I found them very useful for starting to get to grips with what Japanese cars were sold here.

 

I've recently supplied a few photos to someone doing a 1990s A-Z.

AND WILL NEVER EVER SELL THEM.

Absolutely!! I think some of the descriptions are a little dated now when they express an opinion though. The 1980s one was published in the early 90s and so a lot of seventies and eighties stuff was still regarded as 'banger trash'.

 

These are a good read aswell....I think they are updated every year. I got mine in Smiths.

 

They cost about £8 but are choc full of colour pics of all sorts of shite . The latest edition includes Seat Marbella so it IS proper !!
