Awesome. Please remove those awful Clio wheels forthwith.

I hate to admit it but I kinda like them, but the originals are going to be fitted!! :D

Nice car :D

Exhaust is still available through Renault - don't think you'll want to know the price though! The original steering wheel and the BBS alloys will look great back on this - oddly enough there's a set on Ebay Netherlands at the moment at a reasonably expensive price. Sure I've seen a set of original Turbo side stripes at a dealers somewhere - will keep my eyes peeled.

Oddly enough, there was a Fuego Turbo at Tatton Park the other day. The owner assured me that Turbospares have a good supply of bits and are really helpful.

Looks awesome, I do like these.

Here's the lovely Alison Doody with hers in A View To A Kill:

Were you bidding?

Being a Renault aficionado (sp?) would you know where I could get the Turbo stickers from?

Bet the Tatton Park one is the same one that turns up at Cholmondley every year, it's bloody lovely.

Will be on the look out for some local shows once I get the car and do some fettling :D

One coming up in Denbigh/Llangollen and another meeting up at The Midway/Raven truck stop (near Whitchurch) and then heading out to Mouldsworth to the little motor museum.

Threads are on here somewhere Wal.

Excellent car!

Regarding the exhaust, as mild steel bits are always going to rust away eventually wouldn’t you be better off going for stainless? Certainly if the car is a keeper anyway. You could get a Powerflow place to make one up for you, doesn’t have to be some lairy thing with eight tailpipes each the size of the Blackwall Tunnel. They could do it in stages if the rest is currently OK.

It’s what I’ll be doing with the Laurel as and when bits on that need replacing. NOS bits may be available now, but they won’t be forever so I’d just be delaying the inevitable to fit mild steel.

You might need to find a classic-friendly Powerflow fitter however, I’m lucky in that my local one is hugely into rods and customs and they seem to enjoy a challenge.

Had a stainless exhaust put on my R 25, and despite a request to make it as quiet as possible, it's definitely noisier that mild steel. Not excessive, but has a nice bass tone to it. A property of stainless steel as opposed to mild, allegedly.

I had stainless systems on an R5 and on an R4van.

Neither was any louder than the original but on the R4 it gave a little sporty 'parp' om down changes.

Too close for comfort!

You're telling me. I really really need to get off my arse and finish some of the cars i already have so I can get some of these. Thats on my doorstep and only needs welding WHICH IS THE BIT I CAN DO.

In case it's any help:-

7700755873 Front pipe

7707558875 Resonator pipe

7700755879 Over axle pipe

7700706016 Silencer

Are the genuine part nos.

Order from Renault and it's now made by Walker - check their site and they say only the silencer is available! Needs to be the proper Turbo box as it's a different diameter and it'll be a straight through one, as per the 18 Turbo - different box though.

Well, the guy is on his way with the low loader to collect the Fuego, could have it late this evening or tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to seeing it :D

Nice buy. 8)

I recall my uncle having a Fuego just like this in the same shade of red. I think it was an A reg. Don't think it was a Turbo though.

I think he went onto Japanese cars after that one - I can't think why!
