Early heads up...

...but if anyone fancies a shite day out I'm thinking of a bit of a run out in July. There's a cracking little car museum in Cheshire... http://www.mouldsworthmotormuseum.com/intro1.htm which is worth a visit. It's pretty small but one of those places that's worth a visit as they have some quite interesting old rammle in there and some nice local roads.

Had thought about meeting up somewhere like the Midway/Raven Truck Stop (Whitchurch, Shropshire) for a bit of brekkie then a run out to the museum which is about twenty odd miles away.

Thought if we had a few of us plus some of the NSJK and RR folks it'd be a good chance for a pleasant run out and chatting about cars and what not. I think admission to the museum is only about four quid so with fuel and a bit of scran it shouldn't be too expensive for a few hours out and if (big if) it took off maybe organise something every few months or so.

Anyone fancy it, subject to a date as it'd need to be a Sunday due to the opening times at Mouldsworth?

I would definitely be interested, but I may need to go to Germany for about a week sometime in July, so I can't confirm anything until nearer the time. It's a nice little daytrip from Sheffield.

Sounds good. Should be able to scare up some Gallic shite...

I'd be up for it, but I'm likely to be in Czech at the end of July... or somewhere between here and there.

According to AA mapping, it's 215 miles there. So, in this mans words....

I'm out. Probably.

Lol @ Bob.

Incidentally if we use Midway as a base we could also do a run to Furber's scrappie in future as it's not too far from there, ditto Prees Heath car auctions. Pete, early July is probably best anyhow as lots of people will be on holiday after that.

I'd fancy a bit of this, subject to family stuff, of course!

I would be keen on this, also. Sporty-shite and me also had another half arsed idea about another Q Park meet but on the other side of Sale, because there's a suitably foul roadside cafe on Cross Street that very much needs investigating, and parking if we go down the side of the shops. Across the road there is a vile Triumph Acclaim by way of a land mark.
