Anyone want a 166?

Much as I like my Alfa, I can't keep 'em all, and impending redundancy means that I'm going to have to try and be sensible for a wee while. I've already forked out to tax the Innocenti and the Accord this month, and I can't afford to tax the Alfa as well, so it's sat about doing nothing at the moment.

It's got 12 months' MoT as of yesterday (it was MoT'd a couple of weeks back but the old MoT was still valid so the extra got added on), and it drives fine. Of the two problems it had when I bought it, one seems to have sorted itself out (non-functioning heater fan - appears to have been due to the relay on the bulkhead as it's been working fine since I fiddled with that), and the other one (noisy OSF wheel bearing) doesn't seem to be a problem after all - there's certainly a noise there, but neither myself nor the MoT tester could detect any play or roughness in the bearing. The tester reckons it could be the tyre as the inside edge is feathered - I was going to swap the front & rear tyres round to see if that would cure the problem but some pillock had rattle-gunned the wheel bolts on and the locking wheel nut key disintegrated when I was trying to undo the bolt so I haven't been able to try it.

Only other problems I can think of (apart from normal wear and tear) are a small dent in the boot lid & rear bumper and the ashtray on the centre console is missing its cover. Oh, and one of the front foglight glasses is smashed, but I never use them anyway. Mileage is about 120K; it's had a fair bit of money spent on it including a new clutch a couple of years ago. It also has a private plate on it which sort of looks like it reads "TI Alfa" if you squint a bit, and which has apparently been valued at £500, not that I'm into the whole plate rape thing.

Here's a couple of pics:

What's the difference between the 156 and the 166, is the 166 just slightly bigger or something?

Hell of a car for the money that and looks bloody good vfm.

166 is a right big size of a car. Very plush, and that one looks very fit. Good luck with the sale.

Yup, the car's in Norwich at the moment. Probably should have mentioned that.

sigh!

You should've got me at the beginning of the week!

Oh come on, you've only bought four cars and a bike this week.

Maybe next week then?

He's in Norfolk Phil.

So I can't even use the old "If only you weren't so far away" excuse.

*taps fingers*

*wonders what the hell he would do with yet another car if he had one*

Not at the moment it's not, but for £718.25 it could be.
