Torsten2001 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 My lovely mate Rachael has put her Citroen CX (off Retro Rides)in for an MOT and it failed on several boring things, rear sphere's, corroded brake pipes, CV boot, headlight aim, she hasn't got the money to do it so she needs to sell it. It's rust free, taxed, not too many miles, manual just had a full service with cambelt etc, what is it worth? She'd get it done but she's out of work and trying to start up on her own, sooo....She needs a practical pre 1990 hatchback, the CX has been fantastically reliable so that's key and it has to go on her classic policy hence the age thing...emailed you Mr Czechered Flag!

Mine was £400 and I had a choice in the Autotrader that week. I quite like the Toyota Carina GTi that greengartside bought last week, something you’d lose in a carpark ought to be cheap as long as it’s not an ex-taxi

It has a couple of hundred's worth of work there and no MoT so that needs factored in - surely, she's better getting the work done for MoT and selling it with a 12 month ticket! I reckon no MoT throws more than the £2-250 of work it needs off the value!
