Ooh, a Moke! It's one of the few cars on my 'want' list that I'd like to get out of my system by owning. Would love to restore one, which I think is the only way I could afford one and may also not be too much of an issue this side of the world (maybe). Just not that sure I'd enjoy driving it that much. Did the novelty soon wear off?

More likely that plates from a distant land were given to the cars when they were plate-raped/imported I would have thought? Happy to be proven wrong though!

West Street, Southport; forecourt of Lifes Motors, the local Morgan dealership! I've walked, cycled and driven past that many a time, having lived in Southport from birth. I even worked a few yards away across the street, when there was an amusement arcade there. Only 30 years ago mind...

That's quite a collection of sub-awful automobilia! How much would a 928 cost back then (late 90's?). I saw some Airport program from the same period and an Air Hostess was showing off because she had a 1984 Porsche 924.
