What sort of time are people expecting to turn up and any meet-ups/convoys planned?

 

My route will prob be Newark-Nottingham(ish)-Derby(ish)-Stoke .... so could poss meet up with people en-route or give a lift to anyone wanting one.

From memory it's best to get there fairly handy, perhaps about 09.30-10.00am.

 

The lift idea is a good one as you get something like four passengers free in your car. I might have room (depends whether the missus and kids are coming) so if anyone in/near Chester and wants a lift up give me a shout. There isn't a great deal of space as such in the village where the show is, but I expect some covert parking then meeting up outside the gates might save some people the admission fee.

As Billy said, it's best to arrive early, so 8.30am at Lymm services is probably the best bet. We can arse around until 9 then set off to arrive at the Castle about 9.30ish.

Christ it's my mates birthday the night before, I was planning on meeting up with you but in the DAF I am not sure if we can maintain the speed to get there that early with a hangover (or in fact maintain the soberness to do it legally). Might have to meet you down there.

 

Just out of interest, as I am slightly concerned that I might have proper fucked the oil cooler on the DAF, can I bring the '91 Saaaaaaaaaaaab 900? If not will try and move the DAF out the way and get out the GT6.

PM me. DAF does 65 tops unless its downhill. At worst I can assess the situation at 6.30 in the morning and maybe turn up a couple of hours later once its all above board. Its Volksy's birthday so he might turn up too. To be fair I am quite good and not getting too drunk these days compared to what I used to be so it should not be much of a problem, its just a bit earlier than I was planning. TBH I am normally passed out by 8.30 at parties these days (sad but true)

 

I am happy just driving up with it being us but was going to give you a PM anyhow.
