Chem Trails now that is conversation!🤣

I personally hate seeing later reg older cars on B&W plates. The font looks wrong too.  There is not a lot wrong with reflective plates unless you have a 50s or later vehicle. Rant over.

I'm also not keen on seeing them on cars made after the mid 1970s.

Almost true here, this Chevrolet Impala was our hire car for our holiday in the USA in 2008.

My Mum drove it a few times, but was put off by not being used to an automatic, causing us to do an emergency stop when her left foot went for the clutch & caught the brake!

Altogether now... 'Whatever happened to the Likely Lads...'

Looks quite different there now, not least because the Tyne and Wear Metro has added a third rather fabulous viaduct between the two older bridges. But also the whole area is a lot greener. These picture are from about five years ago. It's a lovely place if you like viaducts.

Viaduct fans could then move over the Pennines to New Mills and between Chinley & Chapel-en-le Frith which are riddled with spectacular examples of them.

Three Colt Street, that there London, 1969.

Interesting to see shitty infills of shop fronts were actually a thing back in 69. I assumed it was a modern plague.
