(this is genuine, they were actually advertising 'six fold green shield stamps')

It still took forever to fill a book despite my Dad’s Bedford CA doing about 12 mpg around town. One book got you something akin to putting all you darts outside the wire at the fairground.

AWD Golf. Spotted today at the Unimog Museum in Germany. I think we got these in the UK in LHD flavour. Always vanishingly rare though.

Hey Dave, that comment should have a Trigger warning.

But didn't the Trotters drive a Regal Reliant rather than a Robin Reliant?

Although the Reliant Supervan   (slatted grill, engine 600cc nom.), Reliant Supervan 11 (restyled front end, still with engine 600cc nom.) and Reliant Supervan 111 (as 11 but engine 700cc nom.)  were clearly based on the Reliant Regal 3-25 (saloon), Reliant themselves advertised it as the Reliant Supervan, generally omitting the Regal title.  The Trotters drove various Reliant Supervan 111s as filming consumed a few!  You rightly point out that they did not drive a Reliant Robin - which, incidentally, had a different chassis and a 750cc nom. engine. The restyled  Robin MK2 and subsequent versions had an 850cc unit.

'Robin Reliant' was popularised, possibly invented by Jasper Carrott who presumably drove a Lima Panther, a sports car based on Magnum Vauxhall bits and  bobs.

True fact.

Of the four Reliant vans used in the 22 year production run of Only fools and horses only 487 survive.
