Looks like a Fiat Citivan in front of the Golf Cabrio. Completely extinct I reckon (in RHD at least)...

Do you know where that is?, looks vaguely familiar. At first glance I thought it included a one owner VX1800 which does the local shows from me but it's a different car same colour.

this one?

Yep 2.6 wasn't avl in the TC taunus range, seen that pic before presume it's Netherlands or similar as there are mk3 cortinas as well as taunus TC1's in the mix.

The Cortinas all look to be very basic trim and the Tauneses higher spec. Is this just coincidence or is that how they were sold in Holland? To be honest I never knew Cortinas and Tauneses were ever sold in the same market.

Same in Austria. I mean the Cortina and Taunus at the same time thing.

And yes, Cortinas were usually pov, Tauni posh. Thinking of it now, I can't remember seeing many Tauni without a V6.

Cortinas were cheap there by default, since the 30% import tax didn't apply due to EFTA. Selling them pov spec too

made them a very attractive offer indeed. I guess this alone prevented Austria to be overrun with Jap imports.

Interesting is also that prior to the Consul/Granada launch, TCs were built alongside P7s for almost two years.

So there were two completely different cars called Taunus built at the same time.
