1970's USA spec monsters

The American Rovers thread gave me the idea for this. What world cars were made to look worse because of 1970's USA/California legislation or predicted legislation?

 

I'll start with a few personal faves:

 

TR7 - Hardtop in an attempt to predict the USA banning convertibles and, of course, big bumpers. Here is one with a matching portaloo:

 

Marina - I suspect the camera angle on this publicity shot was intentional to divert attention from the bumpers:

I think the chromed up Austin Marinas look quite smart actually.

 

 

Not so sure about the Federalized Ritmo though.

Most owners removed the bumper or at least colour-coded it.

I like the US-spec 604, the federal modifications look a bit better integrated than on some other cars.
