This local Renault dealership in Pensilva has been closed for years. It remains remarkably unscathed, no doubt due to its location... Does anyone else have photos of long since shut dealerships that can be visited today?

There was also a Renault place near Folly Gate just up from Okehampton- I got a photo of it about 10 years ago but cant find it. IIRC its now houses.

Yes, it was still there a about 2 or 3 years back.

Murketts Vauxhall St Ives has been abandoned for about 18 years now.

Hop back to 2008 to see it in full swing. 

Previously a gas works - interesting site and beautiful location. When it’s developed (which it really needs to be) it will be lovely.

A few in Preston have closed down

This is now an empty husk of a site, before Suzuki it was a main Toyota dealers.

 

After a brief stint as a gyppo encampment this Vaux and Mazda dealership was bulldozed and remains empty pending a new storage warehouse and small housing development being built in 2026

This was empty for years, before Dihatsu was a Skoda dealers (proper Skoda, not VAG) now flattened and a car park for a new supermarket.

Barkers was a Citroen dealers, then about 2013 lost the franchise and since then its been any number of dodgy used car dealers or sat empty for months. Half of it is currently a Sssangyongpingpong dealers and the other half YCC (yes car credit?)
Just how long that will continue is anyone's guess, I can see the developers circling.....

There was a Renault dealer in Hutton Rudby (North Yorkshire, heading towards Middlesbrough way) that closed down and I'd say was empty for maybe a decade.

I was agog when I drove through the village for the first time in years and saw it had been flattened and a complete new shop and filling station was on the site.

My XJ was originally supplied by Stratstone Jaguar in Stoke-on-Trent despite being a Worcestershire registered car. 

The garage, unsurprisingly, supplied Land-Rovers too:

As alluded to in another thread, I'm almost certain that this place will be left to rot, demolished, then have houses/flats built upon it.

Chandlers BMW in Angmering laid derelict from about 2016 after they moved to a bigger place. 

However they've recently flattened it and started building some retirement homes.

Not ideal but I suppose its a bit better than a closed dealership.

Sadly they also demolished Phares Courtledge, the house on the right:

I happened across this one by accident in Wetteren near Ghent back in 2014 on Swedenbimble. Just down the road from the Gowalt Expo Building, a similarly WTF thing to happen upon. The building appears to now be a lawn care company.

The move to EV is killing off a lot of the smaller rural dealers - cost of the tech and training etc.
