beko1987 Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Looks right at home, I remember seeing a few of these dotted about as company cars in my office car park back when it was cheap to do so!
Bear Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I really like the A5 Cabriolet - feels reasonably open (more so than a New Beetle from the driver's seat) and a good amount of space - nice styling too, not too bloated or forced. For me the A5 Coupe and Cabrio, and TT, ending production mark the point the last vague vestige of interest in ever owning a new Audi faded out of existence.
Kiltox Posted July 3 Author Posted July 3 Better. I should probably have drilled new, straight holes though. privatewire and mk2_craig 2

JJ0063 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I’ve always quite liked ‘normal’ cabriolets, cabriolet versions of coupes etc As you say, they’re not going to break records, they’re heavy things but they are also not trying to be a Z4, MGF or S2000. The only exception to the above was late Father JJ’s Astra Twintop. What a heap. CGSB 1
Kiltox Posted July 4 Author Posted July 4 New plate lights drop straight in. Only one of them was broken but 🤷♂️ mk2_craig, Brigsy and privatewire 3
grogee Posted July 5 Posted July 5 If you look underneath there will probably be some very crude angle iron bolted to the floor which was VAG's way of 'strengthening' the body shell. Quite jealous of this although I have been suffering with hay fever a bit so I probably don't need it in my life.

bigstraight6 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I do like that, and would be interested should it become available. I picked up a 62 plate A3 2.0TDI for MrsBS6 18 months ago and it’s been totally reliable and certainly doesn’t feel like a car of it’s age/mileage to drive, and the fuel economy is excellent. Peak Audi products from this era I believe…
Kiltox Posted July 9 Author Posted July 9 This is a massive fucking pain, wish I’d never started tbh! High Jetter, paulplom and privatewire 1 1 1
Youngteam Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Is this the plastic manifold? I had the same problem on my Scirocco and fitted the bracket you find everywhere for about £5. Was a fiddly as fuck but sorted the problem. This one looks way easier though https://ebay.us/m/8XnhE7
