It must still have the enormous fuel tanks buried underground.  Perhaps the advert should say “suit non-smoker”

Nah, non-smokers are dreadful when it comes to selling fags.  Anyone who works in a petrol station needs to know the B&H from the Mayfair Superkings and what the different colours mean (it was, admittedly, less confusing in my days doing it as cigarettes were still allowed to have descriptive names).

I have worked in a petrol station, so could assist with running the shop.  Long way from Essex, though...

Had to check the floor plan as pics give little idea of the property. That's a lot more space than 400k would get you round here.

You would likely spend the same again removing the tanks/cleaning the site but what a place. Would love the conversation with Mrs B, “I have bought yet another doer-upper love, this one is great!”

I like how the estate agents have overlaid some shite cars for scale on the floorplans. I think they are Citroen GSs.

Nice and near to Cholmondeley castle for shite meet ups!

There was a guy on the blue forum who bought a garage in Wales, think his username was heavyspanners.

Fantastic place, he was commuting from London frequently, then he disappeared, don't know what happened

It was an ex-Yugo garage. He mentioned buying it to store his Land Rovers there, when living in London, and I don't think that was a wise move for security and perhaps that spooked him. I loved that thread.

This garage is vaguely familiar - perhaps it appears in my book about abandoned filling stations, can't place it, though....

It's Whitchurch, you can't get 7 webbed fingers round a brick or a spray can.

I think this will be Lou Coffin's old place.  He had a garage that sold second-hand cars and I think did servicing/repairs. He used to buy a few from Chester auctions, and the garage won't be that far from Prees Heath auctions. There is another garage (right opposite Prees Heath auctions) that seems to have been for sale since Jesus was a lad...
