Caravan wanted - now An Officeavan.

Hi all

Looking for a caravan, as close to East Yorkshire as possible as I’ve not towed one before so don’t want to go long distance.

Doesn’t have to be fantastic, a 2 birth will do - it is for sitting at the bottom of my garden to use as a temporary office whilst I decide what I am doing with my current office space.

If you can deliver, even better - tea and £££ on offer of course.

Thanks

You may need to replace the soft furnishings if it really is a two birth

Doesn’t really matter it’ll likely get stripped anyway to make way for my office stuff

Never mind, found this one local on Marketplace.

£150 bargain.

Looks bloody tidy for £150 notes!!

Stripped out the gas fire, hob, oven and sink - scrap man coming for it all tomorrow!

That’s given me more storage space - I’ve modified where the hob and sink are to add a makeshift worktop instead.

Got power to it via means of an extension lead for now, I’ll have my sparky do it out all proper for 240v when he gets time - for now I’m going to put in a Lesuire battery, with solar panel - just for running LED lighting primarily - will try and source that this week!

I wouldn't scrap that.

I've made cash from the van life lot, they all want stuff like that.

Iirc someone on here wanted some as well?

No… you REALLY won’t be!

Believe me lol

How bad / what state are the sink and hob in? Totally understand if you'd rather just get a scrappy to take them away but if you'd consider selling and they're half decent I'd be interested in buying.

Great idea, must be about 1% of the cost of a garden room or similar?

That said, you are obviously significantly thinner than me! 😁

In very poor order, I’ll put it like this…

I wouldn’t have used that hob or sink if you paid me!

Same with the fridge - I opened it …. Out came some flies and I closed it again - never to be opened again.

@95 yours if you want to come and remove it lol

Got my big tub of keys out, this pic shows only half the contents of the tin as I was trying to see if I had a key to fit the lock on the door of the caravan…..(came with no keys)

And….

BINGO!

Found one that fits! Only one mind, so whipped to key shop to get some spares cut!

The tin of many keys saves the day again!

Yeah I looked at options, Shed.. Outhouse.. Container... But I could not imagine sitting in one of those freezing knackers off in Winter... At least a caravan has some insulation as is designed to be used in all weathers.

Plus I think a Caravan is comfier than those, and pretty much ready for use! and for a fraction of the cost!

On a less silly note, looks like a bargain! I do have a soft spot for Eighties caravans as that was how my family holidayed back in the Eighties and early Nineties.

Brings back some memories - we had a 450CT when I were a lad. Got a bit leaky at the back so dad spent about three days in there drying the thing out with hairdriers and fan heaters before part-exing it for a newer one at the local caravan emporium.

Yeah think this one has leaked in the past! Having spent countless hours in it this week (working) 1, its already paid for itself and 2, its pissisted it down and ive noticed 0 leaks!

Not a bad place to work at all!

Its slowly coming along!

I’ve left that ‘hatch’ in the floor where I have removed the old heater, it’s a cat hatch now!

Oven and hob removed with sink unit (all one piece) and a salvaged piece of ply to make ‘worktop space’ - which is about to be out to the test as I repair a laptop on it.

Yes I need a new desk also!

Room for 4 laptops?

Will be mounting KVM under the space where the Oven was so I can hook up PCs if I need to to a screen.

Im batting around the idea of a large solar panel on the roof into a lithium battery, to run things like phone chargers, LED lighting (Will convert interior lighting to LED). Anything low voltage run off the battery.
