I have no choice but to start with this one, perhaps the most honest taillamp ever! I love them!

First seen on the 1971 Mercedes SL and then used on MB vehicles for about 30+ years. Not patented - and they do turn up on Mazda, Honda, Plymouth and a few other brands.

The number plate ruins that for me, not only is it a shit modern silver/black one, but it just looks like they forgot number plates were a thing when they were designing it
