That’s going to be located in the nearest tarmac technicians compound.

What use is that to anyone really? Other than dump the plates, roller it in red and sell it on, seams pointless to steal. Scumbags. Any company names or numbers on that van? Can’t see anything so probably those of a certain caravan community but you never can tell anymore.

That's a very brazen theft using a distinctive van to tow it away, the geezer's mugshot who's stripped to waist is easily recognizable unless he is a member of the tarmac your drive community.

Its also possible the van has been nicked.

Agreed. Something not right in there somewhere…

They 'intended to use it as a project at a community centre they are connected with'.

Of course.

At least their business is clearly advertised with contact details on their vehicle as well as them having an obvious online presence.

Let's be honest, no-one was ever going to see that car with that registration ever again, right up until the second they were stopped.

Good it’s all sorted and all, but this ^^

Some silly sod decides something is parked up and in their mind needs getting rid of so they get someone else out to tow it away!?! Parked for years or not, it’s still someone’s property and nobody else than it’s owner has the right to interfere with it or take it upon themselves to move or take it.

If that’s now the order of the day - there’s a nice car parked outside my house, I’ll just ring my mate to come tow it away and I’ll have it for myself.

How utterly bizarre!

For a car that's been abandoned for six years in an SW20 postcode, halfway in the road and right next to double yellows at a junction, it's done incredibly well. I think there are several levels of this story that don't add up.

I don’t believe a word of it.

“branches all over the U.K.” is another good one they could add to the side of the Van
