Now I've done it a few times I know what shape to force my hand into and it's not so bad

Aye.... I laugh (now... 😵) at the comments [see Utoob I linked] about 'not going back in/unscrewing little screw head' >>> how Utoobers only show the easy job done!

Also the Utoob guy has a much longer bulb wire... he pulls the holder out of the arch 😮

Tonight, I'm out doing a bit 'headlight aim twiddling' 😕

One of the replacement low/dip bulbs is coming out way high.....

I know the retaining ring is 'behind the bulb ' = the bulb is forced into the lens holder and cannot be crooked/offset. The bulb retainer is not handed = will screw in [twist clockwise] at 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock, so the bulb can't be in upsidedown ✔️

I've sorted my 'hex drive' bit and screwdriver... Just off to find a bit wall (in the dark) 😯

The wind is blowing south, direction of travel of the car...

Two things >>

The wind was 'puddling' the promenade off run, onto the road and causing it to run, in ripples, UP the road against the slope.

Usually driving in the rain the slipstream clears droplets off the side windows and you have a clear glass.... The tail wind was so severe that you could hardly see out the side of the car, just wipers + hatch wiper behind...

No people/no dogs (no bins, no fallen trees)

Yupp..... Winters here 🙄

Car magically healed itself, since last test.... The oil leak has, err, un-leaked 😮

Ex replaced by seller.... 👍

The tester looked at the 'white' bulbs, ran the 'beam setter', on its tracks, across the front of AVAS and didn't comment = Win 🎉🥳

best thing I did with my car , fitted some led sidelights , about the same brightness but whiter than the crappy T10 that tend to fail ..

Tail lights OK just with lights switched on, but no motor running.... I spotted it coming back to the car (in the dark) after leaving the engine on, with SWMBO onboard.
