no, the car is now on the journey back. However, the event has caused a total traffic and network meltdown. I wonder which of these it might be...

Arriving in Manchester now. Always impressed by the sheer amount of construction going on here. Makes you wonder what makes the place that much more attractive to invest in when Newcastle sees very little in comparison.

It was probably the promise of a high speed rail network. One to London, one trans Pennine, both now scrapped. Oh well.

And we are back home! The trip back went smoothly, the Jag cruises nicely on the motorway, actually more floaty than I would have expected! Thanks again to @horriblemercedes for the trust in me taking the car to Shedfest without even paying for it (HSBC services were down). Shedfest itself was great but the traffic management was insane. People probably waited longer in line to get to the carpark than actually attending the event and started dumping cars everywhere left and right to walk the last mile or two.

More about it tomorrow, I'm pretty shattered after what will be a 21h day in the end.

Im thinking it might have a manual gearbox (unusually)

And yes, it indeed is the manual! That combined with the solid bones and appropriate color was reason enough to jump at the opportunity.
