I believe it was on load to a friend of @castros_bro when it went tits up and was deemed beyond economic repair 😢 That's such a shame, what ever ended up happening to it? 15 hours ago, MantaGTE85 said: Very well played SEATMad! I have not seen one in ages. I would like to ask a SEAT-appropriate question, if I may. The indicator and wiper switches look quite unusual, how do you operate them on the Colt? As @Nyphur said, both the windscreen and illuminations are done via 2 rotating switches. Very similar if not identical to the early Protons that were based on this. 14 hours ago, Wibble said: My sister in law had one back in the nineties, a three speed auto. We borrowed it once, when I was between cars briefly, to go from Reading to Glasgow and back. It covered that no problem at all and didn’t miss a beat. Rot got it in the end but was sold to the owner of the Mitsubishi dealer, who said he was going to restore it. No idea whether that happened or not and can’t remember the reg. It was a dark blue metallic 5 door, C reg. Well bought! Yeah these things do suffer badly from rot apparently. Luckily mines had the work done to it for previous MOT's but as I'll be using this frequently, I'm going to keep an eye on the rot situation. 14 hours ago, ProgRocker said: That is epic @SEATMad well done! I'm not sure if there are any Mk2 Turbos left If I'm honest, I bet it was quite peppy back then! MantaGTE85, Wibble and Burnside
wuvvum
I had one in metallic beige some years ago - 5-speed manual but otherwise a similar spec to yours. I was actually quite tempted by your one but I had a 1.5 auto of the next generation after that and it was dreadful on fuel so I decided to give it a miss - glad it's joined the fold anyway. Can't currently find a picture of it, but here's my Mk1. And here's the Mk3 which was shit on fuel. Edit: Found it. Is there anything you haven't owner @wuvvum? 😂 I've always had a thing for these Mk2 Colt's. Mine is the manual one, so far after around 100 miles of driving its returned me between 25-30 MPG, I've defiantly owned thirstier cars in my time. I have also read somewhere before that the autos do like to drink.

Such a shame, looked in good nick in the Hubnut video (better than mine anyway).
