A superb set of photos, Hertz, thanks for sharing.I hate to say this, but I like that Rapier even more than the 105 series Alfa GTV  I know it wasn't actually designed by Raymond Loewy, but was his studio involved; it has the look of a mini-Studebaker. I think that those two make everything else look just a little bit lardy

I have a feeling that Metropolitan was once owned by "colc" of this parish. This came to light when images of it were used in an attempted eBay western union scam.

It's not a Metropolitan, it's a Rambler. SRY.

Fab sel;ection of cars/photos :D

LOL at the angular Minor van arch

Red sportscar "R4000GT". Its on the tip of my tonque. Don't tell me. Starts with an I? French?

Michel, I had a Rapier that shape and would love to get another to play with. I think a two inch chop would be ideal as it would move the roof forward a little and help with the short boot.

Nice pic! I used to see one often here in Amsterdam pre-camera (aka years ago), whitish with a burgundy red roof that looked like it wanted to separate itself from the rest of the body... I love the styling except for the nose!

Hey I like that Ital, looks like its got an A-frame sticking out from underneath.

I went to this show too with a mate and his BMW M6 (530BHP KICKIN Y0!) and found it very enjoyable! I only took one pic though, a bentley with a less than fortunate number plate...

Hey great photos!, I think I'd happily have any of these cars.

What's the story with this as I'm sure I've seen it in a 1970's magazine somewhere.

They used to hold celebrity races using those, then Mk 2's.After that I think they used Sunbeam Ti's.
