Went down to Beaulieu at the weekend for the Motormart autojumble, As always they was plenty of overpriced tat for sale inculding cars, I did buy a few bits, A 1970's National gas station Smurf sticker, AA badge, Simca 1000 model for £2 and a few old magazines.

Here's a selection of photos, The rest are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggersca ... 949395647/

In for the sale arena.

'Barn find' Victor F was a lovely tidy old thing but had sadly fell foul to a plate raper who's moted it to get the plate and now selling it on.

One for Fred, Rare singe axle LWB version in LHD.

Posted Image

This stunning Commer Cob was mint, It even smelled new inside, Sadly the £9500 asking price wasn't mint...

Posted Image

Posted Image

Reallyloud posted these the other day, By Sunday the BMW was £375 ono and the Laurel was £550 ono, The Laurel seemed a bit of a bargain to me.

Posted Image

One owner from new and 157000 miles on the clock, It was still very tidy and had colour coded interior, Was up for £1200.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Fresh Australian import.

Posted Image

This MGC was a florida import and wasn't that clean, £18750 is about £18000 more then I'd pay for it.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

I'm with Reallyloud on this one, I can't see how it's safe neither.

Posted Image

1.8 Coupe seemed quite nice.

Posted

Posted Image

Posted Image

This mint Cortina only had 24000 miles on the clock and 2 owners, It was very tidy, Owner wanted £5950 for it.

This weeks bargain must of been a joke, It was up for £255000, It had shite in the paintwork and was very orange peely and the swage line was all over the place... I'd expect better if i was paying that kind of money.

This early Mini was simply amazing.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

I wanted to buy this so bad, It's a early 1967 1300, The owner had driving it to the show from his home town in Sweden, It has only done 45000 miles and was lovely, It seemed a bargain at £2575, Just a shame it was a right hooker.

Never seen a Mk 1 3.0 L Estate before, It was once a hearse, I think they just took the wooden paneling back out when it was finshed with and lifted the rear seats up again.

Oh wow, some yummy stuff there! Mk 1 Cortina with that sort of milage is my ultimate automotive fantasy!!

And to finish off a few photos from the Top Gear arena at the museum.

Posted Image

This was quite nice, the interior was a bit tatty and the O/S was damaged from Clarkson crashing it though, and it has only 84k on the clock.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The interior was well modified to make it water tight like the door cards removed and plated over and the transmission was welded up as well.

Great pics!! :DThat Phase 2 Peerless is lookin lovely, and usually I think it looks ugly compared to the Phase 1 cars. Exactly the same colour as my mate's Phase 2 as well (though his is on wires). I need to use the pic to make him re-fit the bumpers to his!!

Last week i spend a few days in Warwickshire, Had a lovely time etc but i actually got to go to the Coventry Museum and Heritage Motor Centre, Something I@ve been wanting to do for a very long time.

I know quite a few of you have already been before so sorry for the reposts and also sorry for the lack of light problems i was having at Coventry, I think i might need to invest in an external flash at some point.

I'll pick out the best one's from Coventry here, The rest are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggersca ... 030798993/

This fab garage mock up was ruined for me by the lack of light and space for photos, The Allegro has only 6000 miles on the clock, The Dolly Sprint one of the first which was used for magazines and brochures at the times by Triumph.

Posted Image

Posted Image

This 1942 Hillman is in 'as found' condition after going in to a garage for a few repairs back in 1964, in 1997 they got it back.

This is a Elswick Envoy which is based on a Mini, There was a video playing about the lady who had owned this from new trading it in for a new Kangoo.

I really will go to Coventry one day. It looks ace.

The Dolly Sprint in there is actually the first one off the line - we borrowed it and the last one out of Gaydon for a Dolomite Club stand at a show one year.

That Metro saloon looks pants from the rear by the way... :P

Great pictures Trig. Been to the Coventry Transport Museum with the Rover 800 lot. We even got to park in the staff only car park at the back!

Never been to Gaydon, even though I live not far from it. Always wanted to go but they took the first production Rover 825i off display which was one of the reasons I wanted to go.

Yesterday i went to a local car show called the Aldham Olde Tyme Rallye in Colchester, I've been going to this rally every year now for at least 20 years!.

It's mainly a tractor and steam engine event but it's does often have a few gems, Especially the car park but those photos aren't until the end

The rest of the photos are here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/triggersca ... 260748752/

As always some of the best stuff was in the car park.

Posted Image

Posted Image

This Subaru was amazing, It's a imported version of the XT called a Alcyone VR Turbo, it was spotless, look at the nets in the rear window!

Posted Image

Posted Image

How rare must this be now!

Posted Image

Posted Image

Never seen one of these before, I'm guessing it's the Spanish version of the Land Rover?.

Posted Image

I always wanted one of these but instead ended up with the Escort Eclipse instead, The Orion Equipe was better as it had alloys and a 1.4 CVH engine.

Posted Image

The owner of this was most impressed i wanted to take it's photo and proceeded to demonstrate it's roof and internals, He only bought a few weeks before of ebay for £800, Seems like a good buy to me.

Santana built Land Rover's under license but in the mid 80's began building Suzuki SJ's.The story goes, when Land Rover was sold to Ford somehow they forgot to mention Santana still held a license to build them.

The Santana uses an Iveco engine and parabolic leaf springs.oh yes they are made in Spain

Great pics! I've always harboured an insane desire for a half-track, what wonderful machines they are! Love the '58 Chevy estate from the car park too.

Posted

How cool is that little A7 based truck! GR9 4 SHELSLEY WALSH!

The VW pickup is nice too, for having seemingly been picked up by an old commercial vehicle perv. :D

Posted

The VW looked spot on, It bet it belongs to a old boy as it doesn't have a OLD SKOOL DUB YO sticker anywhere on it.
