Yes, that Ital was puke green and the rear suspension was up, but the front was looking a bit saggy! Atlantic car sales is in Hayle, West Cornwall, so a bit far down West for the Atlantic coast highway

Loving that mk1 Renner 5 by the way, identical to the one a friend bought a dozen years back except for the one you photographed hasn't been stuffed into a ditch upside down at 70mph after three months.

Yeee-haah! That's some comedy cowboying on the front end, you'd have thought with the amount of old Trafics that have left the road in recent years that obtaining a decent set of used headlamps and indicators would be much less hassle than bodging some 7 inch Lucas jobs into place

You should of seen the poor old Master van we had at the truck garage i used to work at. One day, one of the mechanics had a prang on the way into work, smashing the o/s headlight to bits. Only problem was there was a breakdown to attend to by the time he got into work, and we had no spare lamps for it. So out came a trusty Lucas round lamp, and a few cable ties! You should of seen the look on the blokes face when we turned up to fix his motor, one rectangle light, one round one! Proffesional or what?!

A few choice cuts from the last few weeks, starting off with this thing!

The owner of this Marina seemed ashamed at being photographed behind the wheel of his steed and drove off

Is that a "Rickman" in the first picture or am I being generous to a home-made lashup-wagon?

And seen today in Penzance, the owner of this Ford D series has owned it from new, and has used it daily in that time delivering quality Cornish produce in West Cornwall! respect indeed....

Posted Image

Posted Image

Closeby was this well used A60 Cambridge estate!....

Great stuff!! Lovin that truck, reminds me of a tattie merchant in the Edinburgh that had a P-reg TK and a Y-reg TL when I was living there, remarkable longevity in my book. If I owned the D-series I'd soon doctor the legend above the windscreen to read "FORD FUMES, GOOD HEALTH"

Posted

There's a company in Kirkcaldy that uses a D-Series flatbed. I think it's a D plate, certainly 60s and I'm sure they've had it from new.

love the reg on that fruit and veg wagon

Great Isn't it, an original Cornish reg number as is one on the A60, Cornish folk love a Cornish reg number as you see loads of recent vehicles running about the County with such reg numbers, its amazing what they pay for them

99% sure that this is a Scamp:

Kit Car (no, really!) based on a Mini. Used to be incredibly cheap.. About 15 years ago (when I was 10) I used to really want one!

Company is still going, and it's I think it's safe to say that the vehicle(s) offered now can still be classed as shite - and embarrassingly still appealing to me.

Sorry Michiel, its reference to the "Brit" music awards staged earlier this week, and a performance by some attention seekers called "The Artic monkeys", I guess you didn't catch said awards, but then again you didn't miss anything
