That was actually my idea with this car as it’s already been horribly brush painted and in reality wants a new body shell at some point just make it a American Graffiti clone, it is one of my favourite movies after all 

 

the one used in American Graffiti  was actually a 1967 model if I remember rightly, even though the movie is meant to be based in 62, multiple other newer cars appear in the movie too but no others belong to a main character like the 2cv does

Also one of my favourite movies ever. But anorak alert, the one Dreyfuss drove was probably an AZA model of late 60's vintage, it may well have had a 435cc lump rather than a 602.

I think a replica is a brilliant idea, I hope you manage to do it @Weird Car

Looks like a perfectly patina'd Portuguese car you have there. Careful, as Citroen even managed to make the glass rust on the last ones built. I assume this is rolling on a galvanised chassis ?

Not sure about that but surprisingly it’s the most solid part of the car, it’s been patched quite a bit and quite recently by the looks

Don't take any notice of him.  There is no place in the 2CV world for that sort of snobbery.
