Yep! There are supposed to be more American cars from the 50’s here in Sweden than in the USA. Don’t know if it’s true but it would not surprise me.

Oh hello! One of those mythical injection-equipped mk2 Fiestas? I see some (factory fitted?) headlamp washers on the front bumper and I wonder whether it's got the heated front seats too. All non-UK market stuff.

Fuel injection, factory fitted headlamp washers and I’m pretty sure (99,9%) it has heated seats.

A couple more pictures from the terminal. Failed to see that the immaculate Nissan Micra from 1990 with canvas roof had an old lady in the passenger seat…

And a far from immaculate Mazda Xedos 9 from 1999. A rare beast!

The island of Gotland is great for shite spotting. They stopped using salt on the roads in the early 80s. Can’t wait to see more pictures!

I took one picture yesterday and it was far from as exotic as Rightniders pictures. 2001 came knocking…

1998 and 1991. This is across the street from me. A man born in 1942 has these two. The Saab didn’t pass its MOT (terminal rot) last year so he went and bought the Volvo as a replacement. I haven’t seen the Saab for a while, but he used it this week when the Volvo was getting a new used rear bumper. When we moved in 13 years ago he ran a 75 XJ6. It is still registered to his name but I have not seen it for a few years.

Last pictures from Gotland.
Honda Accord -90 with nice alloys.
Nissan Micra -90 being molested by a boat and a yellow Caravelle from 1992, with probably the most common engine in T4’s in Sweden. The 2,5 litre petrol engine.
And last a bloody Volvo  from 1984 with over 240 000 miles on it.

Of all the cars I see on a regular basis in Kalmar, this is my favourite! Imported in 1990. Same owner since then.

Found this parked on a side road. Strange i thought until i saw the pool of fluid underneath. Engine oil, hydraulic fluid or gearbox oil? No idea…
