I've had a few 306 and really like them, I take it that's a 2.0 XSi model then?.They can really handle well and quite poky, Only downside i found was the build quality, The door started to fall off my old V reg one :?

Nice one. These are the new 205 engine donor though. Which is understandable as I've driven a 205 GTI fitted with an XSi engine and it was sheer lunacy!Build quality is shoddy though. I got rid of mine when things like the central locking started going haywire (they'd lock, then immediately unlock, and you couldn't over-rule it with the key!)

Common 306 fault. Watch out for the 'can't open the driver's leccy window' as well because the microswitches break. Also if you accidentally open the window with the door open the cables will stretch and knacker themselves, and not work again. Got me in trouble with a copper that did.
