early mk3 fiesta - rare SX model

my friend has a ford fiesta 1.1 SX (1991 J) 3 dr, in factory black with its original factory bodykit and only 48k miles! shes had the car for about 10 years an her mum had it before that and its original lady owner before her, unfortunately the car was stolen recovered with just the ignition barrel and housing damaged but due to the age of the car it was written off, my friend bought it back from the insurance company but after much deliberation she has decided to buy a 5 door car for convienince with a young child. the car is taxed until the end of april but the mot has run out and it will need a vic check after the mot is done, she was going to try the car on ebay or even scrap it but i thought id try it on here first an see if anyone is interested, she want £150 for it, thanks Joe

Was it stolen from her garden ?Hope not , because i'm sure you mentioned it was rather close .. gets me worried it does.(As do the Irish folk that knock every week "Got any scrap metal" ... then they spotted the engine in the Rebel .. FOOOK)Anyway -I think you should buy it joe, then do the VIC, then if you want to sell it on it would be easier ... no ?(P.s did you get "that car" that i asked in the PM ? .. if so can i have a look ?)

I would imagine the SX to be indeed quite rare now. I was working at a Ford dealership at the time and remember it being the "sporty" variant if you couldn't stretch to an XR2i.I think they only came in Black, White, Silver or Red and had those full white wheelcovers as standard, sport suspension with wide wheels, small black roof spoiler and red and black door mouldings. 3 dr only.I'm sure thay did a 1100, 1300 and 1600.For some reason we couldn't shift them at all...and I'm trying to recall why. I vaguely remember them being too highly priced so unless they had a big bonus on them from Ford they just hung around unsold. I know we had a white one that celebrated its first birthday still in the showroom!!!

my mate went an found herself another car today and needs this one out of the way so she's given it to me! i'll probably do a bit on it, mabe mot it agen an sell it on depending (its a bit too modern for me but i mite like it an hang onto it for a bit if the insurace isnt too bad). going to get it in the morning

it was stolen from outside her house on the street :(i did get the other car an im lovin' it! shes fab, i'll call round an show u it
