red5 Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 That's the dregs of the tank (pumped out) mixed with 20 litres of finest E10. So, yeah, it's fucking fucked, mate. Let this be a lesson to always fill it. Always run it. Except I suspect the previous owner had pegged it. mk2_craig 1

Christine Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 Red 5 , i'm buying a 96 Honda Civic 1.4i that's been garaged unused since 2014 .. that'll want draining first ? If i pump it out with the fuel pump will that fuck it ? Or take the tank out and tip it out ?
red5 Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 How much is in it? It's mostly separated by now - the heavier stuff, gum and varnish will be the stuff to shift. I'd be highly suspicious of the pump if it's been left low. I'd take the tank out (unless there is a drain plug) and clean it manually. Blow the lines out. Pump clean through until it runs clean. Christine Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 How much in it , i know not . If i put a battery on it ,and turn the key ..the pump will start ! Edit ..thinks..but not if i pull the pump fuse ....eh ? Quick thinking Batman !! red5 1
