WTF?^^^ MK2 granada "ute"? Thats a very impressive hoard there!Ive had a little more detail through. Its DEFFO a porka but its in very poor condition with plenty of corrosion. The owner doubts ill actually want it but just wants it gone from his barn.

Not only that, it's fitted with the rarely seen optional food blender too!

Can't go wrong either way, surely. If it's an LT28 coupe then straight over the bridge, if it's anything else,,,, kerchiiing!

I remember those being an option on some Fords, it was quite heavily publicised for a while, even having it's own ad on the telly. But people didn't seem to want an enormous roof mounted food blender though.

As Pog says, surely its WIN either way really. Anything other than a 924 should be worth a decent bit of coin however bad it is.

Even a 924 would be win, I've never seen a 'complete' 924 or one without broken bits, there's always a market for parts off these. :)

If it is a 928 .should deffo be worth a look , and if i can just vauguely remember they were fully galvanised so rot at least should not be an issue......the engine on the other hand....woulld be nice though if it was a really early one with the teledial wheels and the chequered seat trim!!

Parts prices are the big issue with 928s. Even I'm scared of running one of those, and I can normally manage to run huge stuff on a budget without ruining 'em.

There's always the Ford TDDi transplant option?:shock: No? What's that you say? You want to remove my liver and deep fry it while it's still attached to me?:lol::lol:

LOL, it's not the fuel that's the killer with a 928. Anyone can put the fuel in a badly maintained one - they don't use much when they're borked.

Just remembered this

which has been off the road for 20 years and in that garden for at least 12, so there are old 911s out there rusting away.....

But the most fitting model for this board, surely? Except maybe the 914/4

Exactumondo. This is surely the only forum where a 924 is NOT a disappointment! I'd quite like one. With a slush box.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!The 924 came out before the LT Van in '75. It used a derivative of the old Audi 100 engine. The LT Van arrived in around 1976/7.Are you related to Mrs S Vogue by the way?

The MGB predates the Sherpa, doesn't stop us.... LT Coupe is therefore a correct terminology.

A year or two back, one of the staff of some classic mag or other had a white 924 as his 'staff car saga' or whatever. Think it was an X reg. Not a mag I usually read so I'm not sure which mag it was (only realised it was the same car as it had the dealers rather distinctive plates on it). Anyway, back in about 1994 I worked in a VW franchise in Blackburn. Self same Porka was traded in and they decided to retail it. It was an utter skip and needed quite alot of engine work. This is when I first heard of the VW Audi link as the technicians used all the VAG manuals to get the engine to run properly. When done I got the job of running it up to the MOT place. This was moderately exciting as I'd never driven a Porsche before. Rather underwhelming experience it was though....
