Very nice, I was expecting a assortment of Impreza's!, The black 4 door is very nice.I past a cream L-Series pick up yesterday on a L reg, It was very clean but i couldn't get a photo

Thats a very tidy legacy turbo :D Ive had a few of those and other variants but seem to keep coming back to the olduns, they share nothing with the legacys/imprezas other than the basic flat four 4wd layout although i do have a mate with a pickup thats had an EJ20 turbo engine fitted  The legacys and imprezas were when they changed over to 5 stud, the pcd on the older ones like mine makes it difficult to find wheels to fit,the only other ones i know the same are pug 504/505

Interesting :) I seem to remember someone back in Australia asking me about 504 wheels. Makes sense now. It's quite common in australia for older Subaru's to get EJ20G conversions which are easy to spot with dirty great big front mounted intercoolers. Quite funny to see one take off at the lights

Nice collection man, used to see the pickups all the time up here but not seen one in a good while. I dont think ive ever seen those other two in the flesh they look great.

Great stuff, I'd love an MV. I used to think older Subarus like your GLF and GL coupe were extinct in the UK. They're probably *nearly* extinct though. Nice work keeping them on the road. :)

Welcome.....I've checked out your cars on RR before, really love the coupe. Like Milfred says I thought they were all gone until seeing yours.

Pete mate-welcome. Should have 'joined' yonks ago.You did me a right good service helping with that 14-getting out of that field & loaded up on those mountainous slopes would have been near impossible without your help. Cheers. That Scooby pickup is nice- just clean/tidy-rustfree but a regular user-the way they should be. Damn good on muddy slopes too!You extracting it with the Dacia Denem & Ritmo bit?Perhaps you aren't aware that I retain several 12's, & a host of old Stradas....all rotting merrily in the barns.Happy days

Welcome! I love those Subarus, brilliant collection. Any idea of how many of those GLFs are left? My gran had a red hatchback one on a B plate for yonks, sadly it got scrapped in 2001 because of rust issues. Great cars though.

Thanks for all the comments guys :D I like to do my bit to raise awareness of them as like many of you say they are thin on the ground over here  Youre more likely to see a Gen 1 the same as the coupe,i know of one other coupe that was around last yr,had been totally restored and a brown 4 door saloon that used to belong to someone on retro rides but has since dissapeared and theres a few gen 1 pickups hidden away too....The gen 2 is all but extinct i think,i know of only mine in the car/hatch/estate variant although theres plenty of pickups left........

Welcome! I'm feeling the love for that white coupe! Don't think I've seen one of those before.

very nice i remember going lamping in our pickup we just turned the tickover down a tad and you really couldnt hear the engine running super smooth engines and pretty bulletproof, that old truck took some punishment form a few off us back in our yoof days.

Just a question, how much are those L series Pickups worth? I passed a car dealership on the A30 today which had one for sale (naturally, got a photo) and it was on a J plate. Very clean from what I could see but not taxed, they wanted £1299, which seemed a tad expensive but perhaps not?I would rather like one.

Thats about right at the moment,i paid more than that for mine on an M plate but i wont disclose how much  They seem to be holding their value well at the moment, just check it out thoroughly..rear bed edges top and bottom, rear inner arches/strut mounts, and sills inner and outer,if all those are ok then you wont have a problem, rear outer arches are availible as are front wings but the wings are a bit harder to get hold of.Other things to look for are front driveshafts and cv joints, its normal to get clicking on lock but should be silent going straight, check 4wd activation, its normal to be a bit awkward to return to 2wd (steering must be straight) but should disengage if you reverse a few yards and try again and also listen for the usual wheel bearings, diff whine etc...rear bearings are a bugger to change.Engines are usually trouble free, blue smoke on over run and hard acceleration is usually valve stem seals and sometimes the carbs can play up,a sign of this is idling issues and hesitation going round right hand corners/roundabouts and when accelerating quickly from standstill.Sounds a lot but if all those are ok then itll be a good truck,if they arent all things are rectifiable and parts availible.Hope this helps :D

I ought to get an MV before they go beyond 'shite money', it's a vehicle I've always promised myself. I love em.
