"Family" + "camping" = "misery"I'd rather spend a week being kicked repeatedly in the nuts.

Somewhere I have a photo almost exactly like this, only the Fiesta is red, the Litchfield is blue and the woman is better looking (I have to say this as she is the mrs)

Never went camping with the folks, did go in a caravan a couple of times though (rented ones). We went to Towyn and Ffrith in Wales. Went back to those places recently to have a look and they seemed massive when I was little.

Mrs_Seth did the French thing with her family repeatedly throughout childhhod. Tow car for the trailer tent/camper was invariably a Volvo 240.

And so the cycle continues...

Seth what is the make and / or model of that caravan in the last picture ?I would love something like that for towing behind the Fiesta.

Its the trailer tent behind the Saab and the Hillman. Circa 1972ish "Campavan" British made and very clever in providing so much off the ground floor space but not very common I don't think. We met an old couple at a site last year who had bought one of the last when the company was going bust in the early '80s

We usually went to the same cottage in Cornwall (near Tintagel), every summer throughout the late '60s - early '70s. But there was one year when we stayed in a static caravan in Wales and we children learnt the word 'bickering', as in STOP BICKERING...

Does anyone else have any good family holidayshite photos? Or maybe some epic tales of a 2000 mile road trip in a 1965 Farina back in the '70s?

Thanks. Morris Sun-tor  Torcars was in Torrington and most of them were brand new vans shipped straight from the factory so they ended up with Devon plates. Lots of UOs and ODs
