Fiesta Supersport resto in 1994....

In case anyone is interested and you don't see it in the minimad thread here are some pics of my car.

I did work in a bodyshop at the time which was handy! The work done would have cost in the region of £2.5k I think (if you were paying for labour/paint etc) It still looks pretty much the same though so it was well worth it.

Hard to believe I have had it for 17 years.. O.K, here we go....

When I first got it in May 1993, pretty tidy motor eh!!

Thats a great car and it's a credit to you for keeping it in that condition. Thanks for doing the Classic Ford magazine extract, it looked quite good back in 1998, it's a bit different these days if its the same one, its just a load of crap now.

Only if my hair gets too long!!

Simon's hair was a lot bigger than that when I last saw him!Lovely car, and a credit to your restoration/preparation skills. What have you needed to do to the 1300 Valencia after 165+k miles?

Yeh, I've said before that I have the old plates to put back on when it's in use again....those fancy ones were all the rage back in the 90's. The engine hadn't done 165,000 Rich, just the car. It had just had a Ford recon engine put in when I bought it (£700 back in 92/93) and I guess that engine has done about 25k ish now.Cheers for the positive comments, I really feel guilty about it being sat in my mums garage at the moment..

I love these, I'd rather have one over an XR2 I think. Great resto and I love seeing long term owenrship stories. I've owned my 1967 Triumph 1300 since 1994 too and it was restored in 97/98. It still looks pretty much the same although is overdue for an engine rebuild now. I'll have to get on with it fairly soon because I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from driving it!

I think i have already said this but :Lovely car :)and fantastic to see you still have it.It would be seriously good fun if you brought it to the major AS meet and i drove mine down too, then i could stare at your excellent work

Excellent :D At the risk of re-igniting the PC is good / crap debate one's featured in the current issue.

Me too. I never dug Pepperpots or round headlights on Fezzas. I still think white is the best colour for a S'Sport tho.
