Also, replaced the tatty rubber bound steering wheel with a leather one, it was a breeze, it took minutes.

Glad I did, as the old one had the annoying rubber slip from the main structure of the wheel!

Hi mate,

I f*cking love this car, needed to get 4 new tyres due to underuse over the years, but hey, worth it.

Been offered double what I paid just yesterday, errmmm nope!!

The amount of people that love it, and were amazed I only paid what I did!

I have treated the couple of bits of rust with rust eater, then, primed (again to prevent rust)

I also have a paint that is in the Miami Blue code to finish off.

Also, keeping the spoiler, factory fitted and the only one I can find for sale in unpainted grey is from Spoox in Leicester!
Spookily, pardon the pun, my last 205 was:

205 Gti in Sorrento Green 1 of 300 and I bought it from a guy in Leicester in 2007, and Spoox done loads of work to it!

Another bit of my initial post was the inner wing, I would really appreciate thoughts on this, as to whether
it is needing to be sorted urgently, nowt mentioned on previous MOT's:

And does it look superficial??

I'm sure they shipped like that from the factory.

Looks lovely though.

That 90s cheese spoiler will add the horsepower that auto box absorbs I'm sure. Looks grotesque but adds a je ne se qua!

So, just had the heaviest rain I have seen in North Shields for ages, monsoon conditions, great test for the 205 sunroof, which has been a concern of mine since I bought the car a week ago. Bone dry inside, not a drop!!.........super chuffed!!

@loserone

So, treated the couple of bits of rust with rust converter, high build primer, and EMY code paint.

Not fantastic, but much better!
