I’ve been clearing a garage out recently. Well more like looking for tat that might be of use to me. When I found this. A cardboard sun block from Halfords. It’s a bit grubby but it’ll look grand in my  1976 manta when it’s done.

I've got a classy looking stainless steel static strips to prevent the car sickness.

It's quite nice but it's not quite long enough, so I'm going to have to mount it onto a block of wood & then the subframe.

They were brilliant weren’t they! Shame they don’t make them anymore. I bet that NOS one is worth a few quid now.

I have one but don't have the minerals to open it. Remember the bigger ones for coaches etc? I used to buy them but it made the car reek like a knocking shop.

When I was clearing out my late father's shed 18 months ago I found a reel of bright orange coach striping that I bought and decorated my mark 4 Escort with in the late 1990s.

Also found a quarter of a bottle of Unipart dot 3 brake fluid that I must dispose of when the local recycling centre holds their next 'hazardous waste' collection date.
