American forces in Germany? But why would you bother when you could by them new in the USA unless they were substantially cheaper to members of the armed forces in Germany, cheap enough to overcome the p&p etc.

Yes I was thinking it was an odd thing to buy a car in Germany & get it shipped to the USA.

They could buy them tax free and then get free shipping back to US I think.

In the good old BAOR days British soldiers could do the same.
