Is it really only £8 to go from Brizzle to London on the bus? That's amazing. The bus driver sounded fun, I liked him.

Re: colleczione - my money's on French, multiseat, diesel ULEZ victim.

Let's say Peugeot 807 for now. Light blue with some broken bits.

Yes, it was £7.06 plus £1 booking fee. A bargain. When I was working in London the cheapest train was £82.30 return and you had to get the 0455 from Parkway to get that price. Sadly the bus gets in too late for starting work (didn't get into Victoria until about 10).

Re collection, you're close, but then I suspect you know the real answer ;) I just hope it does actually make it home, unlike the last collection...

Sit rep. Mode of transport #3 is done and I am in the palatial surroundings of Liverpool Street station.

However, I've got an hour to wait and the lure of free electricity and breakfast #2 proved too much to resist, so I am in the palatial* establishment of Wetherspoon's, about to eat like a king*.

Spoons breakfast muffin eaten. Muffin was a bit tough but other components very acceptable, especially for £3.49 with a (free refill) coffee in that there London.

Going to down another refill and then go and find mode of transport #4.

This is true. Hoping for a first class poo on board #4.

We've got our own ULEZ coming in from October, otherwise I'd have been all over djoptix's Berlingo...

Bristol is getting one (is that where you are?) but I have resolved to give no fucks. I rarely go into town anyway and in a year or so I hope to get a work van which might have to be electric.

Ironically if I hadn't sold the Saab to @grogee, that was ULEZ compliant, despite doing about 18mpg around town. But it was too nice for me.

Now on board #4, it's the FIRST CLASS service!!

However, nobody has given me any champagne or a free newsaper yet. Conclusion: First Class on Greater Anglia services is a swizz, would not buy again.

Yeah unfortunately I'm not in the zone so don't qualify for any exemptions, but I'm close enough that I need something compliant to be able to turn right at the end of my road.

Don't know why as it shouldn't but seeing "my" London end of line station on here feels a novelty. Could've come and said hi. The Leon is good.

First class on GA has always been a bit shit compared to other operators.  It's even worse on the new trains - at least the old Mk3 coaches had a bit of an air of luxury to them.

Actually quite envious of this caper and all the TRAIN action.

Greater Manchester is getting one - which is fucking HUGE as it covers Wigan, Bolton, Bury and Rochdale - Places i'd actually want to go  to in  my car rather than on a train.

Yes, this is a new one. There doesn't seem to be much difference except that the seats say "First Class" on them.

Doesn't cover cars yet, it applies to vans and larger to start with.

Love the megabus, did Cardiff to Aberdeen overnight for £6 I think 😂😂😂

Bed as well but it was a bit grim.

They gave you a lovely croissant and bottle of water as well.

Genuinely a great way to travel for the cost.

And you're guaranteed a seat unlike the train.

Missed this post. I would definitely risk overnight, though I would definitely also bring my own sleeping bag. Who knows what sort of filthy sweaty monkey sex has gone on in there.

It strikes me as cuntery in Bristol. Just means that people who drive Teslas (or people who will spunk hundreds of £ a month on some dreadful hybrid crossover shitbox) can do as they please, while people who can't or won't afford that will effectively be penalised. The only reason I need to go into what will be Bristol's ULEZ is going to be work (plumbing) and clearly those costs will just get passed on to the customer.

If it's your sleeping bag, surely you should know

Greater Manc's Clean Air zone is fricking HUGE and also covers a few motorways, which I find concerning. I just hope that they dont include the motorways in this camera'd zone when it goes live.

I did think as I was writing that sentence that it could be open to misinterpretation :)

Sadly, nowhere near enough filthy sweaty monkey sex has happened in my sleeping bag - though I suppose that could all change on the Megabus...

Without raising my fists in a 'Brad Pitt in Snatch' style, what's the answer? Brizzle pretty bad for vehicle clag. Agree one size doesn't fit all, but what's a better way to still achieve the results?
