Introducing Myself + Maybe Commercial Shite Oppertunity

Hello Everyone

Just thought i'd better introduce myself, after having the Honor of being accepted as a member, with a great help from Dave, who deserves a BIG Thank You.

I found this site about 6 weeks ago, and have been avidly following the posts on here, whilst usually having to try not to wet myself laughing.

I also realised while looking through here, that i've always had Shite cars, ( see list below ) and that the only time i've ever driven something under 15 years old, is when it belonged to someone else.

Anyway, it's good to be here, and i'm sure i'll get to know people in time.

Also, Not sure if it's of interest to anyone here,, but I also realised that we have not far from me in Surrey, what might be a potential Graveyard of Old Commercial vehicles, i've put the link to the Google maps location below.

I've driven past it many times and thought that some of the stuff must be fairly rare, and it always has Old buses, Coaches, and Lorries some of which must date back well into the fifties.

Well have a look it might be something, maybe Nothing, I don't know.

Welcome! That graveyard looks good from above, any chance you could get photos of it?

That looks like a goldmine. You can tell by the haphazard way the vehicles are strewn all over the shop it's going to be good. I reckon that's a Mk 3 Capri at the northermost point of the haul? Knock on and ask politely, or just sneak around at dawn in a Hamburglar costume, but we must see photos. And welcome.

I've only got pics of the "Pikey GT" at the moment as the Polo's covered in snow.

Problem is, can I upload them from my computer, or do I need a Photobucket account or something ?

To FredTransit, Brammy777, When all the Snow clears, i'll get down there with my long lens digital and get some detailed pictures for you.

Not sure what the owner does, but there seems to be some kind of skip business operating there as well.

I will say that there is more stuff there than that picture shows, not sure when it was taken, anyway i'll keep you posted.

Hello and Welcome :D That commercial place looks like it could be interesting...

I know this place, quite near a once favourite pub I used to frequent called the White Bear, don't get too excited, I think there are a few interesting buses and coaches but the place is mostly used as a skip yard and I believe they store the odd lorry prior to export, funnily enough I read a newspaper article on the place recently saying it was an eyesore and the the council are trying to shut it down....or summink!

Hi Torsten1001

Yes, I know the white bear well, and you may well be right, i've driven past this place on and off for 25 years, but i've never actually stopped and taken a good look, I know in the past that there have been 3 or 4 interesting looking pre 65 type commercials, that look like they've been there for years and some other stuff, but Lorries and Buses etc are not my specialty, so I couldn't say if there was anything rare.

It must come under Croydon Council, as it's just outside Tandridge where I live, but i'll do some more research, and get some pics then it might throw some light on it.

Just found this on Google.
