I'll need to look out for that! Have you seen the CPTC in Alyth Drive? I think its a Lotus Eclat Excel :)

iain, you'll need to look a bit further, the granny is stored in kincardine,so not at my place, but i do have a snowy c.p.t.c. here.

Kincardine, in the Highlands? I had googled Polmont and got just outside Edinburgh! Bit further than i thought that.

Okay i panicked a bit then. Unfortunately my other mate has finally come back and is not keen on splashing out though at the moment. I was genuinely interested (and supported you on the Fuego thread i hasten to add), but cant shell out for all 3 of us who are going to Le Mans. Was hoping to persuade you to take it for an MOT (paid for by us) to see what the griff was with it to get it going to assess costs, but if its got what is the servo problems and the need for a new barrell, it would need to be sorted first to get it there for an MOT and soooo on. With the £500 cost, the fuel and the flatbed i might have been getting a bit out of my league anyhow. I tend to just barrell roll into things anyhow.Bit gutted really. Plently more fish in the sea, but not many of them are this cool.Good luck. Someone should have it. It is cool as milk.

bump,to let the folk who gave abuse during the fuego thread have an oppertunity to buy it.maybe i will be seen as a messiah by some rather quiet posters.

What's this about ignition barrels and shit? Have I missed something?

Posted

I have no idea, I find this thread almost as impenetrable as a Citroen XM wiring diagram.

the ignition barrel has the remains of a broken key in i think its visible in the interior pic.don't read it if you don't like it then.

I would unquestionably buy this were it not for my current fiscally challenged status. Saving the V8 and getting it tested has eaten up my shite car readies for a while. Its annoying though as Ive wanted one of these for ages and its even in Fife

more chance of seeing it at cowdenbeath i would have thought.

Ah well, nobody can say you didn't try  if they dont put their money where their mouths are etc, etc

i would like a 323i e21.

I take back anything and everything rude I've said about you in the past. These are a proper legend. Traction control is a 50/50 mix of arse cheeks and right foot.

no worries, first legalish car on the road aged 17 and 4 months was a 320 e21 manual, total heap but i loved it.
