I only have 1. My first thought (tca based) was Mk2 Escort, then I spotted the PAS rack.

I thought that, assumed it to be some weird import. But then.....

Posted Image

It looks a lot more normal the right way up! The ever so slightly visible bit of C-pillar might suggest it's an Orion, but still it's an Escort rear end. How weird, it really didn't look like it....!

Bloody hell there's a lot of chod there. He really could charge people to have a walk around. Masses of stuff.

Sorry went back to page 4 but didn't see a luton. Saw the LWB Trigger posted, where was that?

Posted

That LWB was in the same yard as the other's in Ireland Fred, For some reason i thought i had posted a Luton, If you check out page 1 there this a Mk 2 Box van like yours which you have commented on before plus a Mk 1 Minibus.

Posted

Where's the yard? I have Mk1mk2transit.co.uk forum members in ireland, they would be interested in bits.

Posted

I really don't know Fred, I got them from a photostream in Flickr, I know the bloke who's posting them has been asked before but won't give details of the yard and had the bloke asks high prices for the parts.

Your welcome to try and contact him on flickr if you have a account here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/scrawb/

A 1994 Escort hatch would have different rear lights, I'll say it's an Orion, though it could be an Escort saloon.

Ah fair enough, for some reason I thought you had been there, prob mixing it up with another thread. Thanks tagorasx, maybe somebody will know where it is!

Here you are fred, Don't know if this is any good to you but he's messaged me to tell me that he plans on selling parts of on ebay.

Well Trigger, I'm in the process of putting a few items on Ebay and I will also be putting together a a webpage where I can detail some of the parts. While I don't own the yard, I used to work there some years ago and, in my experience, selling car parts is one of the worst jobs in the world. As you can see from the photos, the yard is mainly situated in a bog. Many is the time, after spending an hour or more struggling about in the muck to extract some part only to be told that the particular model was changed that year and the part doesn't fit/work or else the 'customer' thinks that you're ripping him/her off when you ask for a tenner for something that can't be found anywhere else in the country.Nevertheless, I'm going to set up some sort of scenario as soon as I can in order to ship the required parts to the UK and around Ireland. Thanks for your interest and help. Will have some links on the pics in the next few days.NB: Will take more pics of the old yard too.
