I once bought a 440 petrol 1.8 on eBay for £23.50. It must have been about 2004.

The car was running on three cylinders and would stall if you didn’t keep the revs up, so I drove it home with a days MOT on it down the motorway, using the handbrake to slow down and keeping my foot on the accelerator in order to keep the revs up.

When I collected it the guy hadn’t even cleaned it out so there was three bottles of red wine in the boot and a box of ordnance survey maps too.

Car turned out to be completely knackered on its retest and I think I made about £100 off the maps. Can’t remember what happened to the car.

Thanks @TheDoctor for letting me experience the Fenlander. It’s everything you expect it to be. 
I can also recommend collecting a car from someone you won’t meet and delivering it to someone you’ve only just met off the internet called “The Doctor”. I retained all my kidneys and wasn’t involved in any smuggling (that I’m aware of)
