Last couple of weeks...

Wolseley 16/60 outside my local social club.

205 GTi spotted through the window while paying for petrol.

Next three were seen within a couple of minutes of each other.

Not many early Vectra V6s about now.

Literally as I turned round from taking the above pic, this appeared.

Beefy Beemer, dunno if the lights and plate are smoked or just mucky.

Snapped cos it had no badges and I wasn't sure at first what it was.  (Daihatsu Sirion.)

That Wolseley reminds me of what all the old giffers used to do come the frost, wrap the grille in foil in readiness for cooking the turkey, or in other words, it's a make-do-and-mend grille muff.

Was common. For some, a fitted textile (leather?) version was available, sometimes with zips so you could peel down the middle portion. (Wolsely/Riley 1.5s come to mind)

Very nice Mk2 Scirocco - passed me after I'd walked further along the road and sounded quite fruity too.

My phone clearly doesn't like taking photos at dusk, which is a shame cos this Volvo was mint.

Now some spots from Poland over the weekend.

First a small convoy of Polski-Fiats, showing my inability to take good photos from a moving car (I was passenger, don't worry).

Mk2 Golf in Leszno.

Mercedes van nearby, with hot air balloon.

Jelcz truck, possibly an ex fire engine, watering the speedway track at Ostrow (where I was working).

Iveco/Magirus fire engine.

E28(?) 5-series.

E36 wagon alongside.

Chrysler Sebring soft top.

Ukrainian Lada Samara.

Saw a few others but wasn't able to snap pics, including another Jelcz fire engine in much better condition.

Nice Porsche spotted at Donington Park.

Couple of spots from Portugal - I admit I didn't know what this one was at first, turns out it's a Ford Taunus 12M.

Also from Portugal - this could have been one for the "Cars you didn't know existed" thread - a Chevrolet Alero, sold outside Europe as an Oldsmobile.

And some cool trucks spotted at Donington Park back in August at Convoy In The Park.

...and a Fiesta which was some sort of special edition, but it's a long time since I took this pic and I've forgotten what.

I remember seeing a Nova saloon on TV and commenting that there must be virtually none left nowadays, then a couple of days later I spotted this in my home town!

Of all things, a 1,870 cc diesel engine!  The trike is registered as a 'Pegasus Specialberry' on that plate, with a date of manufacture of 2015.  It is down as a three-wheeler, so all looks present and correct.  A poke about suggests that the engine is a Renault - they made a diesel of that size.  Bizarre.

The mad difference between these 2 cars (apart from the alloys and year of reg) the W-reg one is a 2.5 and mine is a 2.6!

Seems odd that someone would go to such effort then abandon the thing.
