I quite like that Nova - and I hate Novas!

Is it just me, but I always found the odd front/rear arches on the saloon weird!

Edit - Just googled and found the saloon had different wings, So that must have had them replaced with Hatch ones

Clearly the front arch and rear arch dont flow too well, being of completely different shape!

Y reg means this one of the first registered, and a good survivor, havent seen one even close to this for age recently.

26 years old! doesnt look it.

The wee red bus looks to be an Albion Aberdonian.A tad rare these days.As mall light weight bus made to saffe operators money being light weight ans supposadly good on fuel.Didnt quite work out that way unfortunaly!

Early Nova saloon

Extra points for finding an early saloon with the correct period grille. :D DVLA vehicle enquiry reveals 1196cc of OHC goodness. If it's retained its pre-TIG type camshaft that is indeed a rarity!

It might be that hatch wings can be more easily persuaded to accommodate oversize wheels on full lock, though that’s a guess.

Thats a yard i spent allot off time in and collected allot off tools from as a good friend off mine worked there (his dad is part owner), they used to buy ex army stuff in big crates and its often full off goodys.

they had a container full off 1600cc crossflows fitted to water pumps and painted army green.

the bedford has been there as long as i can remember and we had it fired up for a laugh about 20 years ago  oh how time flys.

Yes,being a delivery driver covering an area from Co.Durham up to the Scottish border does have its advantages for shite spotting. :D

that explains it then :)

are these still behind Newcastle Airport? these pics are a couple of years old

Nice selection there, I recognise some of those locations - I spent a year or so up in Gateshead and often wondered around the area looking for tat. Considering how visciously the North East salty air attacks most metal up there, there is always a surprising number of cars that presumably got washed every week. Is there still a bus meet at the metro centre? I think there is also a classic car meet every 3rd wednesday of the month in front of toys are us.

Vauxhall Cresta

Posted Image

I've just textd OAS634 to a work colleague, who says that he knows the registration number of every PA Cresta left. My attempt to prove him wrong has failed miserably again, with the reply:

'Age related number, was black and white, now I beleive it to be blue. I sold the guy a set of doors plus an interior.'

whats the story with the dusty old Escort MK 2 Estate?seems like a hell of a waste.
