martc Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 That Avery Bedford lasted 13 years, tax was due in June '82, which isn't bad for one of those. My aggressive salesman driving an Audi comment was very much tongue in cheek - I remember at the time Audis where advertised as a thinking mans car aimed at architects etc trying to muscle in on the SAAB market. Now they are aimed at... well you fill your own thoughts in here. Sudsprint, HMC, georgeinabz and 1 other 4

I find Audi's are often aimed at a rapidly diminishing gap in which they have no entitlement to be, in everybody else's opinion but that of the Audi driver. Sudsprint and martc 1 1

From the Reliant Kitten Register Mewsletter No.43: "The latter was commissioned by the Salford and Manchester Social Services (hence the name SALaMANder). Though based on a, somewhat modified, Kitten chassis, it used a Ford 1,100cc engine and C3 automatic gearbox, and with its flat floor, and doors opening right town to the bottom of the sill, made it easy to get in and out, ideal for the disabled, and easy to load a wheelchair into. They were built from about 1981 till 1984, by which time the Motability scheme had rendered a specialist disabled persons vehicle virtually obsolete. The GRP body was flimsy compared to the Reliant technique, but quite adequate." mystery01 by E Honda, on Flickr d487_1 by E Honda, on Flickr ETA:And for completeness the registration mark of the car is GND 243Y @barrett Eddie Honda PI has already solved the case... warch, barrett and Sudsprint 3

Vin Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Very late 131 there. We're getting into Regatta territory by then. In fact the only 131s I've seen on B plates are estates, when it was just marketed as the Fiat 'Panorama'. (according to my copies of 'Fiat World' from the time) JeeExEll, HMC and Sudsprint 3
