What I want to know is how does Premier Inn's guaranteed good night's sleep work, I haven't had a good night's sleep since about 1983, so can they compensate me for this in some way?

Which event are you off to? My experience of these things is that if you are buying they start very early...everything stops for lunch at 12.00 ( though its a good time to look round as everything is a bit quieter)...and if it's a 1-day event prices can come down significantly as the afternoon progresses. Bon Chance! with the weather - a good brolly can be useful in wet N. France. Have fun.
