Car show in Calvados, another one today

This morning I've been to a car show in my local town. I took the Reliant which was well received. It was quite amusing to stand back and watch people look at it. Most of them getting down to pear under the front looking for the missing wheel

Pretty poor turnout this year. Probably due to the crap weather.

I love that if you go into French supermarches there’s a tonne of specialist 2CV magazines. Even a Renault 4 one!

When we stayed in Vosges the nearest Carrefour was pitifully tiny. We much preferred Eleclerc, or sometimes SuperU

Get out of the big supermarkets and get into the town centre and look for a Presse (newsagent).

They usually have a vast selection of mags and if you're lucky loads of miniature shite like this :

Calvados is near where the French arm of the company I work for are based, near Mouen. I work on the French team but actually based near Tewkesbury.

Sell batteries for cars/caravans etc.... located on the industrial estate.

It's an Autobianchi Bianchina Panoramica, one of a series of vehicles based on the FIAT 500, the Panoramica was built between 1960 and 1969.

Seeing your reliant on French plates has upset me, I am fighting with Italian uselessness at the moment trying to import my 2004 triumph motorbike to Italy, I was talking to the tecnico in the official office just last week about importing English older cars and the deal with matching frame and engine numbers and out of the blue he said to me " no, you can not import one of those mr bean 3 wheeled English cars here, no way."

I felt like telling him that the uk lets those useless fiat 500s into the uk system . ( I'm talking about the old and the new ones ! )

Cheeky sod, but I had to smile as he is doing me a favour by only taking 3 months and cocking up most of the paperwork for my bike.
