JimH Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Yes, it's a great shame. I mean, where will the people of Sutton Coldfield go to buy their motoring essentials such as paint roller extension handles. Of course there is a bit of sadness when these places go but I find it incredible that they have survived for so long.

JimH Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 We inherited a sizeable pile of stock from a long defunct VW garage. There were some things that would reduce an air head wonk to a frothing frenzy (pair of NOS T34 Ghia inner front lamps still in their boxes, anyone?) but most of it probably came under the heading of dull but useful. Wiper blades, points, brake cylinders, seal kits, main bearing sets - all the crap that a garage accumulates over the years. With our VW days mercifully behind us and having a dislike of hoarding stuff a chunk of it went on ebay just to see it go to someone who wanted it. Obviously the T34 lamps sold for bloody daft money but that was it. Funnily enough there was no stampede of people desperate to get their hands on a NOS 1302 front wheel cylinder. Bloody stuff is still sitting in the stores now. Ghosty and tooSavvy 2
