eBay tat volume 3.

I'm having one of those days where I question the sanity of owning 4 old cars and wonder whether it's just worth packing it all in and saving up a bit to buy something 'new' - i.e. from this millennium, at least. Everyone locally says buy Japanese but not much inspires. However, I think these are a bit of allright, except for the mandatory auto box - I feel old enough already, as it is.......

Oh, and this is from the cheaper end of the price scale but that's how things are over here.

Make it go away!

Please!

Never mind the weasel of pogging, I get far too excited at re-seeing this and I'm supremely jealous of the person that owns it and can't believe anyone would want to sell such an excellent example of British engineering.  Yes I reposted the picture, I don't care.

Somebody on Facebook local to me is selling this H reg 1.6 Automatic Jetta with 118k for £350 with T&T till April, I'm tempted to take a look but I don't know much about them, plus it's a auto.  :?

I'm sure I've seen one or two of these on this thread

$_12.JPG

mileage 16,800

it's at £500, no bids and ends in 7 hours

Gadzooks, that's just the elegant sporting 3-door estate I've been banging on about in another thread!  My life is now complete.

Sadly I can see a tin of emulsion and a race track in that Cresta's future unless the bidding gets a move on.

Jetta Mk2: Golf Mk 2 ( doh) with boot big enough to live in. Engine as per everything VAG of that era, rough but dead simple and long lasting, except for the wretched carb. 3 speed electrics- free auto as found in the Maestro. Nippy, 'cause weigh nothing, but low gearing, no torque converter lockup and bad carb will give low 30mpg at best. Brakes not good.

Edit to upgrade to Mk2.

So yay or nay? I did ring up about it but they had someone viewing it at 6pm and will contact me if it doesn't sell, It's only on the road behind me so it's local but I don't know if i want a automatic, plus Mrs T's doesn't like them, it just seemed cheap to me.

That Mazda tipper was on eBay a couple of weeks ago in Skegness.

A Mk2 Golf with a boot the size of a small garden, bullet proof cars as long as you find a non abused and well kept example, avoid anything scened partially or fully scene'd.

Massively overhyped teuto-tosh. Don't just avoid, boycott it!

Soz, I just wanted to make a lame joke about the barn.  As you were.

That XR3i has the early-spec font on the bootlid badges as well as the early spoiler.
