I've had three SAAB 9000's.  Money pits, all of them, but I'd have another tomorrow!

I've emailed the seller of the Astra estate. It's a bit like trying to chat some bird up who works at the 24 hr garage, you sort of hang round looking at her for while then ask a couple of daft questions and hoping it'll lead to more. So, to keep it in that context, I expect the next thing I purchase will be some Kleenex as I sit at home alone, again.

But to be on the safe side I've text her old sister, the Cavalier on the Wirral.

How much did it go for? Searched completed listings but the only other I can find was withdrawn at 99p as 'no longer for sale'.

apparently its not as good as it looks up close!

You'd think so but it appears people have turned up and walked away? For now £240 with test until November!! I recks £200 cash gets the Cav with T&T

And...you were correct. There's probably only one of us daft enough to buy that, and therefore I did. Update when I've collected it later this week.

That looks cheap, but the MOT expires tomorrow and No mention of why the seller has not had it tested, plus his only had it a couple of weeks if his still waiting for the log book to come back from DVLA and only has the green V5 slip, could be only £495 for a good reason, smells bit fishy!

/\

It must have been great being the manufacturer of interiors of American cars of that era, almost every bleeding one looks the same somewhere inside.

This cars amazing, I remember it coming to light and being sold by the original owners family over on the Audi forum a couple of year ago, I'm also 99% sure someone on here bought it?.

In fact it was Mr TagoraSX. http://autoshite.com/topic/10143-i-can-haz/?hl=avant

That 205 trig posted up the page looks the pic of the bunch after 10 minutes looking at them on the bay. If you wanted a shiter one then one of these may suit.

OMG XS! no rear sus though and other bits missing by the sound of things FFS. Wonder if the rear bouncy bit from my clio could be glued onto it?

TD in welshwalesland, needs gaffer tape on sunroof and an owner called Mr. Wobbler. As a side note the owner things that without faults it would be worth a bag, must be the stick on chrome adding the value I guess.

And that's how my morning has gone so far. Thought about stripping the head on the clio and ended up looking at 205's on the bay.

Surprisingly I find myself more offended by the headlight brows and rear wing.

That shape 323 seems to be super rare here now. I suspect they may not have sold a huge amount of them. That one looks like a right bargain.

That is indeed my Avant. In a brief moment of sanity I decided to get the fleet down to 5 very good cars. The clear out has begun.

So it is not a very good car then, huh?

Also:

It was last used in 1998, It came to us direct from the deceased estate after being stored in a dry garage.
